उज्जैन के महाकाल मंदिर परिसर में नागचंद्रेश्वर मंदिर के दर्शन के लिए लगी कतार में सोमवार को भगदड़ जैसी स्थिति बन गई। हरसिद्धि मंदिर चौराहे के पास डीपी के नजदीक करंट फैलने की अफवाह के बाद श्रद्धालुओं में अचानक अफरा-तफरी मच गई। कई लोग घायल हुए, जिन्हें चरक अस्पताल पहुंचाया गया। एक युवक के पैरों में बैरिकेड गिरने से गंभीर चोट आई। प्रत्यक्षदर्शियों के मुताबिक आरती के समय श्रद्धालुओं को रोका गया था और गेट खुलने के बाद भीड़ का दबाव बढ़ गया। पुलिस और प्रशासन ने स्थिति संभाल ली और बाद में दर्शन व्यवस्था सुचारू कर दी गई।
A stampede-like situation was reported at the Mahakaleshwar Temple complex in Ujjain on Monday as devotees waited in line for darshan at the Nagchandreshwar Temple. Panic reportedly spread after a rumor that an electrical current had reached an area near a distribution point. Several devotees were injured and taken to Charak Hospital. One young devotee suffered serious leg injuries after barricades reportedly fell during the rush. According to a victim, devotees had been stopped during the aarti and panic began after the gates suddenly opened. Police and administrative teams quickly brought the situation under control and darshan arrangements were restored
